SHARJAH, 11th September, 2022 (WAM) — A world of learning opportunities for aspiring government communication professionals and public affairs specialists is knocking at the door as the 11th annual International Government Communication Forum (IGCF), to be held at the Expo Center Sharjah on September 28 and 29, announces a busy program of specialist workshops.
Led by communications specialists and thought leaders during the two-day forum, which will carry the slogan “Challenges and Solutions”, the daily workshops will present the latest digital innovations that are fueling the sector, while highlighting the best practices and pathways of local and global actors. media entities, providing an ideal platform for professional training for university students, young professionals in government communication, media professionals, civil servants and all those who work in any capacity in the fields of formulation and delivering government messages to members of the public.
Sky News Academy will host a workshop titled ‘Digital Content Innovation, from/to phones’ led by Abnoub Mansour and Eman Khattab, presenters at Sky News Arabia, who will introduce participants to the best tools for creating professional content using smartphones.
Attendees will learn how to transform official institutional content into engaging messages to convey digitally for today’s generation of end users who prefer to communicate through their smart devices. The workshops will also highlight how to increase public engagement with government on social media, sharing specific guidelines on how to make their posts more engaging for smartphone users.
A workshop titled “Government Communication in the Digital Era”, organized by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development – League of Arab States, will equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to develop government communication systems, light of the administrative and technological dimensions that have changed the characteristics of communication and provided new tools that allow communicators to improve the impact of messages and measurement methods and the application of modern management principles in the achievement of Goals.
Led by Dr. Mona Magdy, certified trainer from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in the UK, the workshop will highlight the characteristics of effective government communication in the digital age, developing persuasive messages to establish indicators of status, impact measurement and performance evaluation for effective communication. , digital storytelling skills and best practices.
Organized by Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Foresight (AIJRF), a workshop titled “The AI Journalism Mini Diploma” is aimed at media professionals, government leaders and government communication officials, as well as creators of content to enable them to successfully use artificial intelligence (AI) applications and solutions in the content industry, as well as for the management of government services and the achievement of the most important organizational objectives and strategies.
The workshop will be led by Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher, CEO of AIJRF; and Fadi Rida Hammoudeh, Fonn Group’s Certified AI Services Trainer, who will introduce attendees to AI journalism born out of the tools and technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and highlight the fundamentals of Big Data analysis in the media.
