Read to know the story and meaning

International Artists Day is celebrated to honor all artists around the world. Their creativity shows us the mirrored vision of our society through their art. Their work is not only creative, but has a vision to send a message through their work.

We learned about history through paintings and sculptures, and it became one of the most powerful modes of communication. We learn more about culture and traditions through art.

Artists make the world beautiful. Photographers, sculptors, musicians, dancers, writers, actors, digital artists, etc. are all considered artists, in addition to painters.

In 2004, Canadian artist Chris MacClure launched International Artist’s Day. Since then, every year October 25 is celebrated as the International Day of the Artist.

International Artists Day Celebration Ideas:

Buy a new piece of art for your home.
Visit an art gallery.
Sign up for art classes.
Take a musical instrument and practice.
Help artists in your neighborhood.
Because creativity and art are all around us, even taking a photo with your phone is considered an artistic activity.
