The ‘Futurama’ & ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ Crossover you didn’t know you needed

Sometimes even teammates and friends have to go against each other, but violence is never the answer, so we have to look for alternatives. When you’re not ready to talk about it, the best way to relieve (or exacerbate) that tension may be in a 1-on-1 match in games like Halobasketball, Beybladesor (a favorite of mine) a good old fashioned TCG like Magic: The Gathering, PokemonWhere Yu Gi Oh! London-based graphic designer and artist Jordan Snowden’s latest animation does just that by having Matt Groening’s Fry and Bender Futurama Engage in a DUEL DDDDDDDDDD!

One of the best things about it is that it matches the chaotic energy of the show perfectly. Like we really have three blue-eyed dragons in the field with a whole Exodia the Forbidden One in the field at the same time. I watched Yu Gi Oh! growing up, but when I finally got some cards and looked to play with others, I was completely confused by how many rules there were. So many things differ from the series that it’s essentially another game.

On their channel, Snowden does a mix of animation and geeky mash-ups like Wanda versus the Illunimati in Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness. Here Snowden cleverly modified it to make it look like a Final Fantasy V RPG battle. Every now and then they’ll include some pop culture news, and while I don’t care about all that, I love their first video where Naruto punches Richard Spencer. Discover more Snowden’s art on their website and Youtube channel.
